Florence – on the street
October 24, 2011
While Florence is known for it’s historic Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance art, architecture and churches (all of which I adore), there is also nothing better than getting lost in the city’s maze of narrow medieval streets and walkways. Florence is such a dreamy romantic place for me, full of inspiration. It is the cradle of great ideas and works from the likes of Michelangelo, Raphael, and DaVinci to Gucci, Ferragamo and Pucci – a stretch in comparison for some, but I love that about Florence. I’ll stop typing and let the photos do the rest of the talking.

I am back from Florence!

I am still on a travel high and editing through all my photos. It was so special for me to be back in Florence after more than 12 years. I simply enjoyed walking the streets, smelling the smells and remembering all I love about the city of Firenze, but this time with the love of my life and a little one jumping around in my belly. (P.S. Italians are soooooo nice to pregnant ladies…more on that later, but for now, playing catchup, editing photos and composing a few posts about Florence.)
Ciao
