Perfectly perfect.
March 12, 2013
I have become a bit of a Monica, organized neat freak in my adulthood. A fact that makes my mother laugh to no end, since as a child I defined cleaning my room as shoving everything into my closet. Volià room clean! But not any more. Unorganized drawers and closets stress me out to no end, not to mention make it impossible to find anything. So my goal this past weekend was to organize…Let’s just say there is going to have to be a part II to this blog post. I was able to tackle the bathroom medicine cabinets, but that was about it. I spent much better use of my time by going to the Children’s Museum, waking in the park and finally watching Argo. So this spring organization post it to be continued…
Here are some “before” pics of my super messy jewelry and accessory drawers.
Here are some of my dream, uber organized spaces. Hoping to inspire me for some more spring cleaning this weekend.

Nature’s first green is gold
March 5, 2013
I always think of this poem this time of year. It is so lovely and so true. (Thank you high school English for instilling this poem in my brain.)
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Spring 2012
March 22, 2012
Up and down the east coast we are experiencing an unusually warm Spring. After watching Frozen Planet this weekend I know I should be concerned about global warming and the melting of the polar ice caps, especially after dying over those adorable baby polar bears, but I cannot help but be happy to toss aside my boots and strap on some sandals. Sorry baby polar bears.
Street Style – London, Milan and Paris
March 8, 2012
I think what appeals to me most about street style during fashion week rather than what the designers are showing on the runway, it is the fact editors and models are wearing what is weather appropriate for right now. That and the fact that is has become a runway show of its own with so many street style photographers and blogs. So, rounding out the end of all the Fashion Weeks, I picked some of my favorite street style shots from London, Milan and Paris. After a month of looking at others in their finest fashion, as I sit in my postpartum uniform of yoga pants and oversize t-shirts, I am ready to pilfer my closet, pull out the color and put on some heals. Hello sunshine!

Military neutral always seem to look so polished.

While the shorts seem quite optimistic for March, I love the sleek jacket and printed top. Also, a smile makes everything more chic.

I photographed this over sized envelope clutch for a store over a year ago and still covet it. The green seems so perfect for Spring.

Winter Break
February 22, 2012
Much of New England is on winter break this week and it seems New England has gotten a full break from winter this year. Out my window, onto my sliver of a view of the Boston Public Garden, I can even see the faint whisper of lime green buds. I know a hard core New Englander would warn my southern spring optimism with a stern…”It is not over yet,” but I cannot help but get excited for the promise of spring. It is my favorite time of year.
As my hubby strapped on the Baby Bjorn this weekend I grabbed my camera as our whole new little family went for a walk in this mild February weather.

Louis Boston – Spring Style Part II
February 3, 2012
Here are some more great Spring styles from the Louis Boston fashion shoot. I could post them all, I love them so much, but had to edit them a bit. I am also planning on making some fun animated gifs so stay tuned. Until then, think spring, think color!

Louis Boston – Spring Style Part I
February 2, 2012
The other week I had Spring on the brain hard core as I photographed warmer weather style for the high end clothing store Louis Boston. We went with a street style approach to the editorial and despite the chilly temperatures and multiple shooting days and locations, the models were total rock stars. It also didn’t hurt that many of the label we shot make up my dream closet, Marni, Roland Mouret, Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler…

Lost in Photo Shoot Land
January 20, 2012
Holy cow! I blinked and it has been over a weeks since I posted an entry. Don’t worry, no baby yet. I am just trying to cram in a million different things before this baby decides to arrive. Photo shoots, meetings, finishing up projects, organizing, you name it I am trying to do it all. But enough about babies and going into labor…
This week I shot some gorgeous spring looks for the luxury clothing store LouisBoston, located on the beautiful Boston waterfront. Despite temperatures dipping into the teens, we had a great time photographing early Spring looks and dreaming of green grass and warm sunshine. Marni, Roland Mouret, Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler, you name it, they have got it. When I wasn’t busy photographing, and trying to stay warm, I was drooling over everything in the store. Here is a little Instragram behind the scene look at our day of shooting.

Spring has sprung
April 25, 2011
Well it has down south at least, and I drank it in this weekend at Sea Island. It seems every time I visit the island my mind quickly becomes brainwashed with preppy pink and green and all I want to do is place big giant bows on the head of every little girls’ adorable side parted blonde bob.
Oh, and in case you were wondering where all the gorgeous spring flowers are…they ran away to Sea Island, GA, which is what I want to do.

Reason #4485 why I want to run away to Sea Island: gorgeous marsh sunsets.

Now, back to reality.
P.S. This is my 200th post!!!!
There is just somthing about…

Maine. Even in the chill of early spring, with patches of snow still on the ground Maine is just a gorgeous gorgeous place. We popped up there last weekend for a little getaway and some TLC from my awesome sister. The snow is slowly subsiding, the grass has a hint of green indicating spring is on its way, and the coastal paths are finally free of ice. We made full use of the sunny day, bundled up and headed out for a coastal walk. Of course all of this must be done with a super cool Maine dog…Jake the Spinone and former Orvis cover dog was happy to oblige.

Have a great weekend everyone!
