A Year in Pictures

It is kind of amazing to have the ability to look back at my year, by simply scrolling through my blog posts.  As expected, 2012 was a whirlwind year.  Due in no small part to the fact that last February our family became +1 with the addition of our beautiful baby girl.  On top of becoming a mom I had the opportunity to work with some amazing clients, shot some super cool photo shoots (Hello DeCordova shoot for Louis Boston), sat front row at a New York Fashion Week fashion show, and my studio was featured on the The Everygirl (which subsequently was named one of Forbes top 10 websites for Woman.)  What does 2013 have in store?  Some I know, some I hope and some I have no idea (often the best parts).  I hope you all have had a beautiful holiday season and I wish you all are truly wonderful and happy new year.

If we make it through tomorrow, I promise to photograph my home all decorated for Christmas as I said I would…if we don’t, well I guess that is one less thing I have to do.

 

 

 

450 square feet of chic

A few weeks ago when I was in Washington DC I got to photographed another feature for The Everygirl. (Remember my feature here and my photographs of an art gallery here.)  This time I photographed the studio apartment of Nikki Rapaport of Cupcakes for Breakfast.  From her blog, I knew Nikki’s place would be darling, but I had no idea how much you could do with 450 square feet.  Nikki is a master at creating the feeling of separate rooms and spaces all with in an open floor plan.  Take a look at the photos below and head over to The Everygirl for the full feature.

What the what?!?!

So the other weekend, while bébé was napping and the hubs was on the sofa fighting off the stomach virus I so thoughtfully passed onto him, I saw a Pinterest contest over on my friend Cassandra Lavall’s blog, Coco+Kelley for the online shopping site Taigan.  I thought, what the heck, why not do a little fantasy shopping with the hopes of winning a $500 gift card.  Then last week I got an email telling me I had won!!!!  What the what?!?!?  $500 to go shopping on Taigan all for me…errrr…I mean to do some Christmas shopping.  I still don’t even know what to get but my wish list has spent the $500 already and then some.  Here is what I “pinned.”

And on that farm he had a…T-Rex

I just finished up a photo shoot with one of my favorite families and grab a few photos for myself of this dinosaur and animal collection.  How great are all these plastic toy animals?!?!  At 10 months (today!) my bébé is probably still too young for them but I cannot wait to get some for her…particularly that awesome brontosaurus (which apparently is now called an Apatosaurus but whatever.)
