Florence – on the street – part II
October 25, 2011
I had to share more of these, just to keep the thought of walking around on those sunny days and eating my body weight in gelato alive a bit longer.

The style and grace of the Florentine’s never ceases to amaze me. They always have the perfect jacket, scarf and shoes. Not to mention that the women walk around the ancient, cobblestone, streets in heals all while carrying an adorable toddler. For my safety and the safety of those around me I stuck to ballet flats and sturdy boots.

With artisan shops like these tucked into the citiy’s neighborhoods, it is easy to see why they are so stylish.

Then there are all the souvenir stalls and leather market, which are always fun to poke around and pretend how you are too cool to ever buy something at such a tourist trap. Of course the fact that we were eating a big gelato and carrying a map didn’t scream tourist at all…oh well

For tomorrow, where we ate, stayed and visited.

That reminds me…I need to spend a little more pinning time. I love it!
Do you have a board?
The reliefs in the frieze gave me a flashback to an Art History lecture back in college – and the clicking sound of slide projectors. Students today must be like, “what the heck is a slide projector?”
Looks like you had a wonderful time. So fun!
