Boston Fashion Week – MendozaMendoza
September 28, 2010
It is Fashion Week here in Boston and the other evening I was invited to a presentation for MendozaMendoza. The presentation was held in a South End space behind Rocca Kitchen & Bar. The crowd seemed fun, hip and certainly dressed to the nines. I could have sat outside and people watched all night. Biggest trend on those in attendance: black sequins! Anyway, onto the presentation. The models were draped across various Moroccan inspired furniture that created this opium den feel. Perfect for Sam Mendoza’s, silky, draped dresses. Although I think my favorites were the harem pants and separates…did I just say I liked harem pants?!?!?! I think I did!

Marital Bliss
September 28, 2010
This weekend, after returning from an amazing week a Canyon Ranch, my husband and I celebrated one year of marriage! I can honestly say it had been the best year of my life. There had been so much change, moving from Atlanta, starting this blog, working more on freelance photography and design, and so many wonderful travels, adventures and fun. We have an amazing trip planned for the week of Thanksgiving, so we decided to celebrate the actual anniversary day by not making any solid plans. What ensued way a fabulous fall day of, brunch, bloody marys, football, a little shopping and ended with some amazing blues, dancing and champagne at Beehive.
I certainly re-toxed very quickly after my healthy week at Canyon Ranch.

Beehive just exudes cool. It is in a downstairs setting and has that bohemian, beatnick feel. The interior and art are amazing art, with even more amazing music playing every night. Sunday’s are blues night…can you think of a better night for blues to be played? Of course there was nothing “blue” about our night. The musicians were so talented and the music and atmosphere was a blast.

I love these old beer mugs. I think my dad had them when we were growing up.

Back at the ranch
September 23, 2010
This lucky duck is spending 5 days at Canyon Ranch in Tucson, AZ with her mom, her sister and sister-in-law.
It is like another planet here. The mountains and terrain, not to mention the amazing plant and animal life. Oh and all the spa pampering on top of that. I am one spoiled little girl. So many photos to share upon my return, but for now :

Oh, and a full moon hike tonight! I can’t wait.

New Brahmin Masthead
September 20, 2010
The other week I spent a fun and silly Sunday evening with the stylish masthead of New Brahmin shooting for Stuff Magazine’s style feature. These ladies are usually behind the camera working their magic, so it was a fun change to pull them in front of the lens. We ended up loving this mugshot style layout.

In hot hot Atlanta for a three day shoot and then back to blogging I promise. Till then, an old photo I found that has me thinking of Autumn breezes and rustling leaves on these hot Georgia days.

On beautiful sunny days, with a hint of fall in the air, the city looks as if it was filmed in HD. I love living so close to the ocean.
